Join us as we continue our partnership with RiverRun International Film Festival to bring 2 Family Classics to the Big Screen for FREE during the 2026 Festival!

Disney’s 1940 animated classic, FANTASIA: Saturday, April 18th at 1pm.
Continuing RiverRun’s celebration of Technicolor, this film represents one of Disney’s boldest experiment to date, Fantasia brought to life his vision of blending animated imagery with classical music. What had begun as a vehicle to enhance Mickey Mouse’s career blossomed into a full-blown feature that remains unique in the history of animation. Disney rarely allows Big Screen screenings of this film, so be sure to see this one while you can!
The film will be preceded by a special introduction by Film Historian Renata Jackson!

Dreamworks' 2005 film, MADAGASCAR: Saturday, April 25th at 1pm.
Dreamworks Animation hit from 2005 follows a group of animals who have spent all their life in a New York zoo. They end up in the jungles of Madagascar and must adjust to living in the wild. This film also features the work of UNCSA professor, and RiverRun Board member, Wade Wilson as Sound Effects Editor.
Wilson will introduce the film and be on hand for a special Q&A conversation about the film following the screening.
Both these events are sponsored by ABC 45 WXLV, Winston-Salem Fairgrounds (Home of the Carolina Classic Fair), and Nurturing Generations.
Tickets to these screenings are FREE - But reservations are encouraged - Get yours at https://riverrunfilm.com/2026-films-events/
